This one took a long time to get right, largely because there's so much happening in it: loads of guitars, loads of vocals, massed strings, two lots of drums... hopefully you'll get the same effect that we're going for, which is for the chorus to lift off and soar. I hope so, because those backing vocals were a bugger to sing.

Lyrically the song's about going through tough times and coming out the other side, picking up the pieces and making amends. It's about persuading yourself that the light at the end of the tunnel isn't a freight train coming to squash you.

Musically it's inspired by all kinds of things. I can hear Massive Attack in there, a bit of Cocteau Twins, some Crowded House and even a bit of hip-hop. Your mileage may vary :)
